FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville State University has announced its 2026–27 women's basketball schedule, featuring 28 games and 12 home dates at Felton J. Capel Arena.

Head coach Tyreece Brown and the Broncos enter the season after a 21-win campaign that included a 13–3 CIAA record, a conference tournament championship-game appearance and a berth in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional. FSU's season ended with an 88–85 double-overtime loss to Seton Hill.

The Broncos open in an exhibition on Nov. 9 at North Carolina Central, with tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m. at McDougald-McLendon Arena in Durham.

FSU plays its first nine games away from home. The opening stretch includes Shippensburg Nov. 13 and Bloomsburg Nov. 14 at the CIAA/PSAC Challenge, plus visits to Elizabeth City State Nov. 19, Shaw Nov. 21, Augusta Nov. 24, Chowan Nov. 28, Lincoln (Pa.) Dec. 3 and Bowie State Dec. 5.

Virginia Union visits for the home opener Dec. 8 at 5:30 p.m., followed by Virginia State Dec. 12 at 2 p.m.

The Broncos open 2027 at home against Southern Wesleyan Jan. 2 at 2 p.m. Six January home games anchor a stretch that places 10 of FSU's 12 home dates after New Year's.

Winston-Salem State visits Jan. 9 at 2 p.m., with the return matchup Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m. in Winston-Salem. Those meetings renew the matchup from the 2026 CIAA championship game, giving the Broncos two opportunities to face the reigning tournament champion.

The schedule includes 22 matchups against CIAA opponents, with each of the other 11 league teams visiting Fayetteville and hosting the Broncos.

FSU will look to carry last season's home success into the new campaign. The Broncos finished 12–1 at home in 2025–26, including victories over every CIAA opponent that visited Capel Arena.

Three-game homestands are set for Jan. 21–28 and Feb. 6–13. Four of the final five games are at home, culminating with Livingstone Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m.

The CIAA Basketball Tournament follows Feb. 23–27, 2027, at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, where Fayetteville State will pursue another conference championship.
