Charlotte, NC - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) named Fayetteville State cross country runner, Franklin Kipchirchir, as the week #2 CIAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Kipchirchir, a sophomore nursing major from Kapsabet, Kenya, delivered a standout performance at the Queen City Invitational on Friday, placing sixth overall in a highly competitive field that featured NCAA Division I and II programs. Kipchirchir clocked a time of 24:26.0 in the men's 8K race, leading Fayetteville State to a fifth-place team finish.

The Broncos will compete on Saturday, September 20, in Wingate, NC, for the Wingate Bulldog Stampede. The race is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
