February 23, 2025 – Fayetteville State University is proud to announce that three of its standout players,
Morgan Graham,
Talia Trotter, and
KaNyah O'Neal, have been recognized for their exceptional performances during the 2024-25 season.
Morgan Graham and
Talia Trotter have been named to the All-CIAA Team, while
KaNyah O'Neal has been named to the CIAA All-Rookie Team.
Morgan Graham's 2024-25 season was marked by impressive statistics and standout performances. She achieved a season-high of 19 points against Francis Marion on Dec. 2, 2024. Graham averaged 7.4 points per game, with a total of 185 points over 25 games. Her defensive prowess was evident with an average of 7.9 rebounds per game and a total of 56 blocks.
Morgan Graham, a senior forward from Raleigh, N.C., has been a key player for Fayetteville State throughout her collegiate career. She graduated from Southeast High School. Influenced by her father, a former college basketball player, and her high school coach, Graham developed a strong work ethic and passion for the game. She is majoring in Mass Communication and aspires to work in sports management after graduation. Known for her leadership on and off the court, Graham is also involved in community service, mentoring young athletes in her hometown.
Talia Trotter, from Ellicott City, Md., also earned a spot on the All-CIAA Team. Trotter, a junior majoring in public health, graduated from Marriotts Ridge High School. Influenced by her mother, Lia Yahya, and her faith in God, Trotter is known for her love of sushi and her goal to become a nutritionist. She averaged 13.6 points per game, with a total of 339 points over 25 games. She also contributed 71 assists and 41 steals, showcasing her playmaking and defensive skills.
KaNyah O'Neal, a freshman guard, has been named to the CIAA All-Rookie Team. O'Neal is a business major from Washington, NC. She averaged 7.7 points per game, with a total of 184 points over 24 games. O'Neal was recognized as the CIAA Rookie of the Week in weeks 6, 7, 9, 10, and 11, demonstrating her impact as a newcomer.
Fayetteville State has had a successful season thus far, finishing with an impressive 18-6 record. The team showcased strong offensive and defensive capabilities, outscoring opponents by an average of 10.6 points per game. The team statistics for the 2024-25 season include an overall record of 18-6, 75.5 points per game, 46.0% field goal percentage, 38.0% 3-point field goal percentage, 80.5% free throw percentage, 35.4 rebounds per game, 11.3 assists per game, 6.5 steals per game, and 3.0 blocks per game.
Graham, Trotter, and O'Neal's consistent performances and dedication have earned them well-deserved spots on the All-CIAA and All-Rookie Teams, solidifying their reputations as key players in the league.
