Fayetteville State University's golf team finished in second place at the 2024 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Championship held at the Longleaf Golf & Family Club in Southern Pines, NC. The team scored a total of 873 (+9) with a final round score of 292 (+4), earning them the Runner-Up Trophy. Freshman Logan Atkins from Dunn, NC, received the Rookie of the Year Award and was selected for the All-Tournament Team with a score of two-under-par 214. He had the lowest score among all the freshmen. Junior Juan Lopez from Madrid, Spain, also made it to the All-Tournament Team with a third-place finish and a score of 213 (-3).
 
The tournament was won by Virginia Union University with a score of 868 (+4), while Livingstone College finished third with a score of 876. During the regular season of the conference, Fayetteville State's team had the highest average of 297.67 and earned the CIAA Southern Division Title, beating Livingstone's average of 297.89 over nine rounds.
 
Senior Brandon Jones from Sanford, NC, was selected for the All-CIAA Team with the second-highest average of 73.5 in the conference play. Logan Atkins ranked third with his average of 74.17.
 
Fayetteville State University will participate in the NCAA East/Atlantic Regional Preview from April 21-23.
