The Broncos led the field of eight teams with a 288 (E) 18-hole card, and shot a +5 (293) to end the day. The Panthers were three over (291) and two over (290). Freshman Logan Atkins (Dunn, NC) is leading FSU with a 141 (-3) while vying for the Low Medalist Award ranked second overall.

Livingstone College is also in the hunt for the title, trailing the leaders by only one stroke (582; 293, 289).

Virginia Union's Travon Willis is on top of the leaderboard at 139 (-5). Johnson C. Smith's D Yanni Rhyne is behind Atkins at 142 (-2).

Junior Juan Lopez (Madrid, Spain) is tied for sixth (145, +1), while Brandon Jones (senior - Sanford, NC) is tenth at 147 (+3). Donald Barnett, a freshman from Antioch, IL, shot a two-round total of 148 (+4).

Junior Shaun Wixson (Fayetteville, NC) will tee off first for FSU at 9 am at the Longleaf Golf and Family Club. Wixson is tied at 16 with combined cards of 151 (+7).
