Fayetteville, NC – The Fayetteville State Women's Basketball team is set to face off against Winston-Salem State this Thursday, February 15th at 5:30 pm.

The matchup will be streamed live on the CIAA Sports Network website.

The History

• FSU and WSSU will meet for the second time this season.
• FSU won their first matchup against WSSU this season, 63-49.
• The Broncos are 8-2 in the last 10 matchups against the Lady Rams.
• The Broncos swept the season series vs WSSU last season (65-61 Away, 59-46 Home).

About the Broncos

The Broncos are currently 13-1 in conference play, continuing to hold the #1 spot in the CIAA. They are 11-0 at home, and 8-2 away. Since the Rams and the Broncos met last time this season, the Broncos have been on a four-game winning streak (Claflin 67-50, St. Augustine's 72-62, Shaw 59-44, Johnson C. Smith 64-56).

In their most recent game on Feb. 8 vs Johnson C. Smith, team leaders Aniylah Bryant and Keayna McLaughlin scored in double figures. Bryant led with 17 points, enough to reach her 1000th career point, as well as three steals. McLaughlin had 10 points and three steals.

Morgan Graham trailed with 5 points, 11 rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.

They have had a week-long break since then, and this Thursday will be their first time back in action.

About the Rams

Since the Rams and the Broncos met last time this season, the Rams have played five games. The results of those games stand at 1-4 (Johnson C. Smith 52-62 L, Livingstone College 68-62 W, St. Augustine's 50-56 L, Claflin 45-56 L, Johnson C. Smith 65-69 L).

In their most recent game vs Johnson C Smith on Feb. 13, WSSU fell short in overtime 65-69. The Rams record now stands at (8-17, 2-13 CIAA).

Team leaders include Kennedi Simmons with 15 points, Jakaiya Mack with 11 points, and Sierra Hunter with 10 points.
