CARY, NC - The Fayetteville State Bowling team had an outstanding performance at the first Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Event of the season, held in Cary, NC, and hosted by Shaw, finishing with a perfect 12-0 record.

Nicole Sarko shone brightly, winning the South - Newcomer High Average Award with an average of 177.89. Ericka Reed earned the High Game Award with a score of 224 on Day 1 against Shaw. Nicole Sarko led the team on Day 1 with an impressive average of 186.6 over five games, while Paige Rockwell led Day 2 with an average of 182.5. On Day 3, the team continued their dominance, winning all five Baker matches with a high game of 222.
