CLARION, PA -- The Fayetteville State volleyball team could not beat an opposing Wildcats offense Friday losing to Daemen (1-2 overall) in three sets (13-25, 9-25, 17-25) at the Clarion University Tony Banner Memorial Volleyball Tournament.

The non-conference loss moved Fayetteville State to 1-1 on the season. 

Alexia Bryant finished with six kills on the day to lead the Broncos offense. Defensively, FSU had two players reach double figures in digs as Aliyah Brown had 10 and Bryant had 10.

How It Happened

SET 1 | The Broncos found themselves in an early hole, dropping a tough first set 25-13. Fayetteville State trailed by as many as 13 points as Daemen never surrendered the lead in a set that was tied up zero times before the Wildcats took control.

SET 2 | Fayetteville State then dropped set two 25-9 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. The Broncos dropped the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before dropping the set.

SET 3 | Fayetteville State couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Broncos fell in a tough set 25-17. Fayetteville State trailed by as many as eight points as Daemen grabbed the advantage for good at 11-10 in a set that was tied up six times before the Wildcats took over the lead.
