CLARION, PA --The Fayetteville State volleyball team could not out-play a dynamic Golden Eagles offense Saturday at the Tony Banner Memorial Tournament losing to Clarion (PA) in three sets (13-25, 21-25, 14-25).
The non-conference loss moved Fayetteville State to 0-4 on the season.
Kyra Webb finished with three kills on the day to lead the Broncos' attack. Jordan Johnson lead the Broncos defensively with 6 digs.
Xiamana Spikes was named to the Tony Banner Memorial All-Tournament team closing the weekend with a total of 29 kills, and 13 blocks.

SET 1 | The Broncos found themselves in an early deficit, losing a tough first set 25-13. Fayetteville State trailed by as many as 13 points as Clarion (PA) grabbed the advantage for good at 3-2 in a set that was tied up two times before the Golden Eagles took control.
SET 2 | A 25-21 set-two loss put Fayetteville State in a 2-0 hole in the match. The Broncos trailed by as many as six points as Clarion (PA) grabbed the advantage for good at 12-11 in a set that was tied up seven times before the Golden Eagles took over the lead.
SET 3 | Fayetteville State could not win the third set and was swept by Clarion (PA). The Broncos fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before falling in the set 25-14.
