CLARION, PA --The Fayetteville State volleyball team could not out-play a potent Timberwolves offense Friday at Clarion University's Tony Banner Memorial Tournament in Clarion, Pa. falling to Northwood (MI) in straight sets (19-25, 17-25, 12-25).
The non-conference loss moved Fayetteville State to 0-2 on the season.
Bailey Robinson finished with seven kills on the day to lead the Broncos offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .500. Aeyane Mattress lead FSU defensively with 10 digs.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Broncos found themselves in an early hole, dropping a tough first set 25-19. Fayetteville State trailed by as many as nine points as Northwood (MI) grabbed the advantage for good at 14-13 in a set that was notted up four times before the Timberwolves took over in the second half of the stanza.
SET 2 | Fayetteville State then lost set two 25-17 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. The Broncos fell behind on the first point and never clawed back into the lead before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Fayetteville State could not win set three and was swept by Northwood (MI). The Broncos fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before falling in the set 25-12.
