GREENSBORO, NC - The Fayetteville State women's track and field team traveled to Greensboro, NC for the Aggie Invitational at the Marcus T. Johnson track hosted by North Carolina A&T State University. Bianca Belfon, Queen Burnett, and Shanae Ingram were among the Broncos to mark top-percentile performances.
Belfon marked a hop-skip-and jump of 11.16 meters (36' 7.5") in the triple jump event, earning the sophomore a tenth place finish. She also posted a long jump distance of 5.10 meters (16' 8.75") ahead of more than twenty competitors.
Queen Burnett, Mya Johnson, Jessica McQueen, and Teanna Bell ran the 4x100m relay in 48.31 seconds in seventh place in front of Hampton University (Team B), Western Carolina, Virginia State, and Central State.
Lead leg of the relay squad, Burnett closed the 100-meter dash (20th) in 12.32 seconds and the 200-meter dash (23rd) in 25.57 seconds.
In the 800-meter run, Shanae Ingram earned the 25th slot in 2:28.93 seconds.
The women will travel to Mount Olive, NC to compete in the Trojan Relay hosted by the University of Mount Olive on April 15.
