Mansfield, Pa. -- Three of Fayetteville State's men's cross-country runners participated in the NCAA Division II Regional Championships at the Lamb's Creek XC Course in Mansfield, PA.
Hillary Toroitich finished 21
st overall in the 9.5K race with a time of 30:22.1 at a pace of 5:09. His performance at the meet has earned him All-Region accolades.
"I am extremely proud of the performances of our Broncos," said Head Coach
Inez Turner. "They competed in unpleasant weather conditions. Their desire, determination, and resilience pulled them through. To run 30+ minutes in a 10-kilometer race is no joke. All three Broncos ran personal bests today, and Hillary continues to update the FSU record books. I'm truly proud and I feel honored to coach these guys."
Derrick Kipchumba crossed the line at 29
th in 30:33.5 and a pace of 5:11.
Abel Mengich rounded out the Bronco effort as he was 121
st with a time of 33:48.7.
