Fayetteville, NC (Saturday, January 29, 2022) – Fayetteville State men's basketball trailed 33-26 at halftime to Saint Augustine's, but a ten-point second-half performance by
Jalen Seegars led to the Broncos outscoring the Falcons 34-19 for 60-52 victory in Capel Arena.
Seegars matched his per-game average with a game-high 18 points while shooting 52 percent from the field in the second half.
Darian Dixon tipped in 16 points while
Cress Worthy finished with 14.
Dhashon Dyson added 10 points for the Falcons, who dropped to 3-16 overall and 1-8 in the conference.
Fayetteville State was 34.4% from the field (10-29) and 0-9 in three-pointers in the first half. The Broncos was 3-of-9 in three-pointers in the second and made 12-of-23 shots.
FSU is on a four-game win streak with five games in nine days. The Broncos will host Lincoln (Pa.) on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
