Fayetteville, NC – Fayetteville State performed almost as expected in a 46-9 blowout of Lincoln (Pa.) in the Luther "Nick" Jeralds Stadium for a CIAA late-night game. The FSU (3-1 overall, 2-0 CIAA) defense had a shutdown performance that limited the Lions to 19 yards rushing and 73 yards passing. K'hari Lane threw for 281 yards with three touchdowns and
Donshel Jetton rushed 12 times for 79 yards.
"I am happy to get the win," said Head Coach Richard Hayes. "There are a lot of things that we still need to clean up to get to where we want to get to. We still played our Bronco style of football."
Lincoln (Pa.), who is 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in conference play, scored on a pick-6 (interception) late in the fourth quarter and earned two points on a 98-yard return from a blocked FSU point-after-attempt. All of the Lions' points were against FSU's offense and special teams.

Elton Andrew was four-of-four in field goals with boots made from 22, 45, 36, and 40 yards away.
Jacob Young was four-of-five in point-after attempts. His fifth attempt was blocked.
The Broncos had a big second quarter with 17 points scored and a 20-0 halftime lead. After two field goals by Andrew,
Brandon Barnes-Brown pulled down his second interception of the season for a touchdown. He finished the game with two picks.
Brian Gentry had one of the biggest offensive plays for FSU with a 61-yards touchdown reception from Lane late in the game.
Fayetteville State will travel to Raleigh next weekend to face Shaw University in a 1:00 pm game in the George Williams Complex on the campus of Saint Augustine's.
