Fayetteville, NC – On the night that Fayetteville State honored five seniors, the Broncos reached a standard that not many before them could reach. After defeating Saint Augustine's 57-52, Fayetteville State surpassed the 20-win mark last achieved in 1992-93 by the late Jeff Capel. The 21-7 overall record and 10-7 standing in conference play secures the division's no. three seed going into the CIAA 75
th Annual Tournament.
The Broncos will face Shaw University on Wednesday, February 26
th at a time later to be determined by the CIAA Tournament Committee.
Senior
Denzell Hosch led the game with 18 points in his final game in Capel Arena. He was 6-of-10 from the three-point arc.
Jalen Seegars followed that performance with 14 points.

Isaiah Vinson.
Saint Augustine's (11-17 overall, 5-12 CIAA) was led by Donte Edwards, who scored 11 points. Karran Clemonts and Hirk Williams provided ten points each.
Fayetteville State scored a total of 20 points off 11 turnovers and led by as much as 18 with five minutes left in the first half. After the 38-23 halftime break, Saint Augustine's eventually tied the game at 52 with 2:54 left to play.
After losing the battle of the boards the entire game with SAU having a 40-27 advantage in rebounds, FSU tighten its defense that led to a final 5-0 run and a victory.
