Winston-Salem, N.C. – The Fayetteville State women's indoor track and field program competed in the 2019 Camel City Invitational this past weekend at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Shanae Ingram (St. Ann, Jamaica) ran the teams fastest 60-meter hurdle time of the season. Ingram finished fourth in the fourth heat and 21
st overall with a time of 7.94 seconds for a personal best.
Tawana Allen (Kingston, Jamaica) finished 19
th in the 60 meters and clocked the team's second fastest time with a 7.94 finish. Her time was the 7
th fastest in the second qualifying section.
Carisha Leonard (Rocky Mount, N.C.) finished 23
rd and
Aleena Cruz (Raleigh, N.C.) 28
th in the 800 meters for the team's third and fourth best performance in the event. Leonard finished in a time of 2:27.08 and Cruz crossed at 2:28.89.
Fayetteville State will return to JDL Fast Track on Sunday, February 10
th for the two-day CIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Admission to the meet is free to all patrons. The event schedule and performance list will be posted on fsubroncos.com when available.
