Chynna Hunt (Summerville, SCO led the game with nine kills from 15 attacks to excel the Broncos to a 13-6 overall record and 13-1 CIAA standing. The Panthers fall to 9-10 overall and 9-5 in conference play.
The Broncos had strong showing with 47 kills to the Panthers 16.
Diamond Holmes (Raeford, NC) followed with the second-best performance in kills with eight (12 attacks). Rookie of the Week
Casandra Watson had seven kills (16 attacks) and four digs, along with
Jessica Williams (Hiram, GA) who also had seven kills (8 attacks). Nakia McKinnie (Niceville, FL) had a game high 25 sets.
Kamryn Young led Virginia Union with six kills from 20 attacks.
Fayetteville State will travel to Raleigh to face volleyball rival Shaw University on Monday, November 11 at 6 p.m.
