Charlotte, NC – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announced its 2019 Football All-Conference Teams and superlatives as voted on by the CIAA Football Coaches Association and Sports Information Directors Association. Ten Fayetteville State Broncos were named to the various list released.
Senior running back
Stevie Green, who is the Broncos current all-time rusher with 4,426 yards with 41 touchdowns, was named to the All-CIAA First Team after rushing for 1,071 yards this season with 14 touchdowns. Green, a native of Washington, NC) averaged 107.1 yards per game and 6 yards per carry. He was the 2016 CIAA Offensive Rookie of the Year.
From the offensive line, juniors
Greg Brooks (Walkertown, NC) and
Kion Smith (Lumberton, NC) were named to the All-CIAA First Team.
From the defensive front, defensive end
Keyshawn James (Junior - Cayce, SC) received First-Team accolades with a regular season total of 58 tackles with 16 for a loss of 111 yards and nine and half sacks for 81 yards.
