Denzell Hosch scored a game-high 23 points and
Raymon Pratt turned in a double-double 18 points and 14 rebounds.
FSU held a 43-40 halftime lead and had to break away from a 48-48 tie with 15:27 left in the game.
Jalen Seegars, who finished with 13 points, sparked a 7-0 run with a jumper in the paint. Hosch sparked another 7-0 run with a layup and a three-pointer from a steal for a 65-54 lead with 8:30 left. The lead increased to as much as 15 (81-66) after a dunk by
Darian Dixon, who finished with eight points.
The Broncos shot 41.5% (27-65) from the field and made 75.9% of its free throws (22-29). FSU out-rebounded Bloomsburg 46-39.
Bloomsburg (0-2 overall) was led by Max Wagner, who had a 22-point performance and Justin Anderson who added 12.
Fayetteville State will travel to Chowan in Murfreesboro, NC on Saturday, November 16
th for a 5 pm non-conference contest.
