SALISBURY, N.C. (January 23, 2019) – Fayetteville State had a rough go at it in New Trent Gym with a 74-60 loss to Livingstone College.
Mark Burton hit five threes to tally 16 points to lead the Bronco effort along with
Raymon Pratt who tallied 15 points.
Fayetteville State (3-12 overall, 2-7 CIAA, 1-2 Division) had a slow start trailing 33-16 at halftime. In the second half, the Broncos cut a 22-point lead down to 14 before the game expired.
Ray Rogers scored a game-high 25 points for Livingstone (11-6, 4-4, 2-0) and Lydell Elmore finished with a double-double of 11 points and rebounds. His brother Navar finished with ten.
Fayetteville State will host Winston-Salem State on Saturday, January 26
th in a 4:00 p.m. matchup in Capel Arena.
