FAYETTEVILLE STATE FOOTBALL TO REACH NATIONAL TELEVISION AUDIENCE

Fayetteville, NC - The football match-up between Fayetteville State and Shaw University, on October 10, 2009, will be nationally televised as part of the CIAA Football Season TV Package. The game will be syndicated throughout the United States as well as on ESPN Plus Syndication, with most stations carrying the game live. The contest will be played on FSU's campus in Luther "Nick" Jerald Stadium with a 1:00 pm kickoff.

The Broncos (8-2 overall last season) will defend its turf against the defending CIAA Champions Shaw (8-3 last season). Fayetteville State lost its only conference game (and Division II loss) 19-12 to the Bears which prevented the Broncos from making an appearance in the Conference Championships.

Fayetteville State last hosted Shaw on October 20, 2007. The Broncos defeated the Bears 24-16 during its Homecoming celebrations.
