CIAA Tournament Pairings: Tuesday Tip-Off to "Rock the Rim"
Hampton, VA...Tuesday tips-off the 64th and 34th Annual Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament at Time Warner Cable Arena, 7:00pm.
This year's tournament features a new, reduced 5-day format. With the week shortened by one day, the women's tournament will begin on Tuesday, February 24, with two games at 7:00pm and 9:00pm.
On Wednesday, February 25 the men's tournament will begin; joining continued play of the women's tournament. Men's games begin at 7:00pm and 9:00pm.
The Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State will enter the 34th Annual CIAA Women's Basketball Tournament as the Second Seed. FSU will play the winner of the #7 St. Augustine's vs. #10 Elizabeth City State game on Wednesday afternoon at 5:00 pm. Chelsea Jeter and L'Oreal Price will be honored as ALL-CIAA Team members on Tuesday at the CIAA "Rock the Rim" Luncheon.
The Broncos will also play on Wednesday at the 64th Annual CIAA Men's Basketball Tournament. As the 9th seed, Fayetteville State will have a third chance to defeat #8 Livingstone College. During the regular season, the Blue Bears won both games on last second baskets. Tip-off is scheduled at 9:00 pm in the Time Warner Arena Cable Arena in Charlotte, NC.
