RICHMOND, Va. - In his first game of the season, Preseason All-CIAA selection Ariel Robinson scored a team-high 21 points.
It wasn't enough, however, as Virginia Union dropped Fayetteville State 87-65 on Saturday.
FSU (2-2, 0-2) shot just 30 percent from the field while the hot-shooting Panthers made 60.7 percent of their shots.
Jamel Carpenter had a double-double for the Broncos, scoring 18 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Ben Davis added eight points and 10 rebounds and Andre Best tallied eight points and four assists.
The Broncos travel to Virginia State on Monday.
