Hampton, VA - Fayetteville State Head Coach Kenny Phillips was named Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Coach of the Week for Week Three by the conference office on Monday, September 15th.

Coach Phillips won his 50th career game in nine seasons with a 63-0 decision over Lincoln (PA) University this weekend. After scoring 63 points early in the first half, Phillips called off the horses and stuck to a running game that would wind down the clock. The margin of victory was the largest in school history and for Coach Phillips.

Fayetteville State finally comes off the road for a home opener against St. Paul's College. The contest will take place on Saturday, September 20th from Luther "Nick" Jeralds Stadium in Fayetteville, NC. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
