Fayetteville, NC - Fayetteville State University Men's Head Basketball Coach Samuel Hanger hosted a Broncos Basketball Skills Mini-Camp inside the Capel Arena on June 23-27.
The mini-camp was scheduled from 8 am to 12 pm and was offered at no cost. There were approximately 20 campers ranging from the ages of 10-16.
This camp was designed to give each individual the maximum benefit of instruction in all areas of the game, especially the fundamentals. Participants were grouped according to age and skill level so each individual could have a positive experience.
Camp sessions included competitions for individual skill development, lectures, films, offensive/defensive drills, and shooting competitions to develop fundamental shooting techniques.
"The camp was a success; I really hope the kids enjoyed themselves and learned something at the same time," said Coach Hanger when asked to recap the week of camp. "I'm very appreciative to those you volunteered their time and hard work to ensure this was a valuable experience."
A certified trainer was on hand to ensure each camper received the best possible treatment when needed.
