Final Stats

Fayetteville, NC - The Lady Broncos breezed past St. Augustine's College 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-15) in conference volleyball action from Felton J. Capel Arena on Wednesday night. The victory snaps a four match losing streak and improves FSU to 13-15 overall and 8-1 in the CIAA.

Sophomore setter Achari Mainor led Fayetteville State with a match-high 26 assists and 10 digs in a three set sweep over the Lady Falcons. Mainor is the CIAA leader in assists, averaging 7.82 assists per match this season.

Junior middle blocker Chekimbrell Jefferson put down eight kills and sophomore outside hitter Samantha Meeks was an all-around contributor with half dozen kills, eight digs, and two service aces.

Senior middle blocker Heather Chance recorded seven kills and five digs to go along with two solo blocks to pace FSU.

The Lady Broncos will host a tri-match on Friday, October 10th from Capel Arena. FSU will face Livingstone College in a rescheduled conference match at 4:00 pm and then take on Benedict College at 7:00 pm.
