Fayetteville, NC - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) has announced Fayetteville State University senior guard Phillippe Harris as the Player of the Week for the week ending December 30, 2007.

Harris earned the honor for his play in the Pensacola Beach Hoop Classic that took place December 29th - 30th. During the two-day tournament, Harris produced 35 points, 11 assists, and 15 rebounds.

The best performance for the Fayetteville, NC native came against the University of West Florida. In the contest, Harris scored 25 points (including six three-pointers), grabbed nine boards, and dished out six assists to lead the Broncos to a 76-71 victory over the hosting University of West Florida.

The win brought a two-game losing streak to a halt for Fayetteville State. The Broncos next contest is against Bowie State University on January 3rd in Bowie, MD.
