Fayetteville, NC - Fayetteville State University, the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Champions, will take on California University (PA) at 7:30 pm Thursday, November 15th in their first-ever NCAA Division II Regional Playoffs.

The Lady Broncos are led by CIAA Player of the Year sophomore middle blocker Chekimbrell Jefferson (Laurel Hill, NC). She is supported by All-Conference senior libero Sha'Quana Veney (Richmond, VA), senior middle blocker Cassandra Peterson (Winston-Salem, NC), sophomore right side hitter Heather Chance (Dallas, TX), junior utility Shatia Gidrey (Jacksonville, NC) and freshman outside hitter Samantha Meeks (Laurinburg, NC)

The team leader in assists, freshman setter Achari Mainor (Antioch, CA), is there to provide her hitters with the sets. Meeks and Mainor are also members of the CIAA Rookie Team.

"We are very proud of our successful season," said 19-year Head Coach Elorine Hill. "We hope to take this momentum in the NCAA playoffs."
