LADY BRONCOS WIN IN THREE GAMES OVER SAC

Raleigh, NC - Chekimbrell Jefferson (Laurel Hill, NC) and Cassandra Peterson (Winston-Salem, NC) were on the attack Tuesday night for FSU, combining for 24 kills to help keep the Lady Broncos undefeated in CIAA conference play with an easy 30-18, 30-13, 30-18 win over the Lady Falcons of Saint Augustine's College. The 24 kills by Jefferson and Peterson were more than SAC had in all three games. The Lady Falcons had 15 kills for the entire match.

With the win FSU improve to 15-10 overall, 9-0 CIAA and 4-0 Western Division. The Lady Falcons fall to 6-16 overall, 4-7 CIAA and 2-4 divisional action. Jefferson, the conference leader in kills per game and hitting percentage, had 14 kills for the evening and .458 hitting percentage. She was followed by Peterson with 10 kills.

Also instrumental in the win were Samantha Meeks' (Laurinburg, NC) eight kills and six digs. Achari Mainor (Antioch, CA) contributed 39 assists and four service aces and Alexis Young (Fayetteville, NC) finished with three service aces.

The Lady Broncos return to action Wednesday, October 10th inside Capel Arena against Livingstone College at 6:00 p.m.
