Fayetteville, NC - When Fayetteville State University defeated Benedict College on October 30th not only did the Lady Broncos earn their 20th victory of the 2007 season; they also gave Coach Elorine Hill her 300th career win.
Fayetteville State University won the match 3-1 (21-30, 30-23, 30-27, 30-22) improving their record to 20-11 and standing undefeated in the CIAA at 12-0. Coach Hill becomes the only coach in the history of the volleyball program to post 300 career win.
The volleyball program was introduced as a varsity sport at Fayetteville State in 1979. Coach Hill assumed leadership of the program in 1991 and have led the Lady Broncos to 300-244 overall record with a winning percentage of .551.
Coach Hill has had an October to remember, along with her 300th win; she also celebrated her induction into Saint Augustine's College Athletic Hall of Fame on October 19, 2007.
