Fayetteville State University put forth a solid team effort in their 85-64 won over Virginia State University. Fayetteville State's continuous pressure defense caused VSU to turn the ball over 18 times the first half and 17 in the second half. FSU shot an outstanding 50 percent from the floor and went 6-of-8 from the free throw line.

Four Lady Broncos were in double-figures with Tressa Aughburns and Rebecca Charles pacing the scoring, letting 14 and 12 points respectively. Also contributing were Tenisha McArthur with 11 points and Chelsea Jeter, 10 points. VSU's Katania Walker led all scores with 19 points. FSU improves to 7-3 and 3-0 in CIAA action while VSU dropped to 3-6 overall and 1-2 in conference actions.
