V'Aira Harris

V’Aira Harris joins Fayetteville State University’s volleyball program as an Assistant Coach, bringing a dynamic blend of collegiate playing excellence and elite-level coaching experience. A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Harris has spent the past eight years cultivating competitive, character-driven athletes across collegiate and national club platforms.

A standout NCAA Division II student-athlete at Benedict College, Harris was a four-time team captain and earned multiple Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) honors, including Preseason Player of the Year, All-Conference selections, and Offensive Player of the Week. She ranked 4th nationally in triple-doubles and led the SIAC in service aces per set and was top 10 in kills and digs during her tenure. Academically, she was named to the SIAC Commissioner’s All-Academic Team with a 4.0 in-season GPA. Harris graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering in 2020.

Her coaching career includes serving as Assistant Coach at Columbia College (NAIA) from 2020 to 2022, where she contributed to recruiting, training, and academic support. Most recently, she led SC Midlands Volleyball Club’s 17 National Elite team to a national bid at the 2025 USA Volleyball National Championships. Over six seasons, Harris has coached multiple elite-level teams, emphasizing technical development, mental toughness, and team culture.

In addition to her coaching credentials, Harris is certified in SafeSport, Impact, NCAA officiating, and youth protection, and is an active member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association. She also serves as a Character Coach with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, mentoring athletes at Benedict College and the University of South Carolina.

Coach Harris brings a championship mindset, faith-driven leadership, and a passion for developing purpose-driven student-athletes. She is committed to contributing to the Broncos’ winning culture and helping young women thrive both on and off the court.
