Fayetteville State University proudly welcomes Jocindra Glee as the new Assistant Track & Field Coach. With over six years of progressive coaching experience, Coach Glee is a highly accomplished and results-driven leader known for guiding teams to championship titles and fostering holistic student-athlete development.
Coach Glee most recently served as Assistant Track Coach and Director of Operations at Virginia State University, where she played a pivotal role in securing multiple CIAA Championships and podium finishes, including the 2023 and 2024 CIAA Outdoor Men's titles, and the 2024 CIAA Cross Country Championship. Her strategic sprint training plans, recruiting acumen, and commitment to academic support helped elevate the program’s competitive edge.
Prior to her time at VSU, she coached at Benedict College, leading athletes to 11 individual SIAC titles and 2 team championships. Her earlier roles at Spring Arbor University and University of Central Florida further solidified her reputation for technical excellence and athlete-centered coaching.
Coach Glee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Chicago State University, where she conducted senior thesis research on fear and motivation in college athletes. She also earned an Associate in Arts from Meridian Community College. As a student-athlete, she was a 3x WAC Champion in the 400m, the first female conference champion at CSU since 2012, and a 2x CSU Female Athlete of the Year. She still holds school records in the 400m and 400m hurdles.
Her certifications include USATF Level I & II Coaching, and CPR/AED. She is also recognized for her contributions to program operations, including travel coordination, equipment management, fundraising, and social media engagement.
