2025-26 Track and Field Roster
Biography
Thrower Paige Simmons-Norris continues to develop as a key contributor for Fayetteville State after a strong foundation built at Hilliard Darby High School in Ohio. A four-year varsity track and field athlete, Simmons-Norris gained early experience in shot put and the weight/hammer events, competing consistently at high levels and bringing both power and technical growth to the Broncos’ throws group. In addition to her track career, she also competed in volleyball, showcasing her athletic versatility and competitive edge.
Majoring in Forensic Science, Simmons-Norris chose Fayetteville State for its highly regarded program in the field. She plans to pursue a career working in a crime lab, with ambitions of one day serving in the Secret Service—a goal that reflects her focus, discipline, and desire to make an impact through scientific investigation.
Beyond athletics, Simmons-Norris brings a unique mix of talents to Bronco Nation. She holds three black belts in taekwondo, displaying exceptional discipline and body control that translate naturally into the explosive demands of the throws. She enjoys playing guitar, spending time with her dogs, and staying active outside of competition. She credits her mother as the most influential person in her life, inspired by her strength, work ethic, and the example she sets as a successful single parent.
As she enters her sophomore season, Simmons-Norris looks to continue building momentum in the circle and contribute to the Broncos’ success across the CIAA throws events.
