Thompson has been an integral part of Fayetteville State’s success at the conference level, earning recognition as a CIAA Conference Champion and contributing to championship-caliber team performances. Her versatility allows her to impact the lineup in multiple events, making her a valuable presence in both individual competitions and relay squads.

She has recorded collegiate personal bests of 12.53 in the 100 meters, 26.72 in the 200 meters, 5.18 meters (17’0”) in the long jump, and 10.82 meters (35’6”) in the triple jump. A Chemistry major, Thompson excels academically while balancing the demands of collegiate athletics. Following graduation, she plans to pursue graduate studies at NC State, with the goal of continuing her education in chemical engineering before entering the industry.

Outside of competition, Thompson is a creative individual who enjoys painting, sewing, and reading. She credits her mother as the most influential person in her life, describing her as a lifelong source of inspiration whose selflessness, drive, and commitment to excellence have shaped her both personally and professionally.

Thompson chose Fayetteville State because of her family’s connection to the university, and she takes pride in representing the Broncos both on the track and in the classroom.
