Fayetteville State University Athletics

Mia Thompson is a redshirt sophomore sprinter and jumper for the Fayetteville State University Track and Field team. A native of Clayton, North Carolina, and graduate of Cleveland High School, Mia is majoring in Chemistry with aspirations of earning a Ph.D. in forensics or chemistry. She was a key contributor to the Broncos’ 2023 Outdoor Championship team and continues to be a consistent performer in both sprint and jump events.

Outside of athletics, Mia is a creative spirit who enjoys painting and sewing. She credits her mother as her greatest inspiration, describing her as a selfless and driven role model who always strives to be her best. That same mindset fuels Mia’s pursuit of excellence on the track and in the classroom.
