Ma’Ryah Hargrove is a dedicated short sprinter on the track and field team at Fayetteville State University. Standing at 5'0", she is originally from Wharton, Texas.

Currently a sophomore majoring in Criminal Justice, Ma’Ryah has recorded impressive personal bests in her events, including 8.18 seconds in the 60 meters, 12.79 seconds in the 100 meters, and 26.50 seconds in the 200 meters. Her athletic journey is characterized by her determination and commitment to excellence. Ma’Ryah has competed in various events, such as the JDL Early Bird Invitational, the Visit Winston-Salem College Kickoff, and the Aggie Classic, consistently improving her times and placements.

Beyond athletics, Ma’Ryah is passionate about her studies in Criminal Justice and aims to make a significant impact in this field. In her free time, she enjoys watching anime and spending quality moments with friends. She chose Fayetteville State University for its supportive environment and strong track program, believing it will help her achieve her athletic and academic goals.

Ma’Ryah was inspired to pursue a major in Criminal Justice because of her deep desire to positively impact her community and enhance the safety and well-being of others. Her childhood fascination with the justice system and its role in maintaining order ignited her interest, which was further strengthened by her passion for helping others and her commitment to upholding justice. Her experiences as an athlete—where discipline and perseverance are essential—have also reinforced her determination to succeed in Criminal Justice and make a meaningful difference in society.
