Kaiya Wright, a dedicated track and field athlete specializing in jumping events, stands tall at 6'0" and hails from Graniteville, SC. A graduate of Midland Valley High School in 2022, Kaiya also played basketball during her high school years. Currently a junior at Fayetteville State University, she is majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management.

Kaiya's journey in athletics has been driven by her hard work and determination, inspired by her mother, who has shown her the importance of perseverance and pushing oneself to be better every day. Her most memorable sports experience was at the CIAA Championship, where she felt the incredible energy and support of her teammates.

Outside of sports, Kaiya enjoys making and listening to music. She chose FSU because it felt like home and offered an affordable education. After graduation, Kaiya plans to join the Air Force, aiming to build a stable and impactful career. Her college bests include a 200m time of 28.22 seconds, a high jump of 1.55m (5'1"), a long jump of 5.10m (16'8.75"), and a triple jump of 10.27m (33'8.5").

Looking ahead, Kaiya aspires to continue her involvement in sports, even after her collegiate career. She hopes to compete at higher levels, possibly in national or international competitions and aims to inspire young athletes by sharing her journey and experiences. Kaiya is also interested in coaching and mentoring future generations of athletes, helping them achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
