2025 Cross Country Roster
Biography
Dominic Malel is a freshman distance runner competing in the 8K for the FSU men’s cross country team. Originally from Kenya and now residing in Virginia, Dominic graduated from Litein High School in 2022, where he also played varsity soccer. He transferred to FSU from Campbellsville University and is pursuing a degree in Nursing.
Dominic was named Freshman of the Year, both in high school and at the collegiate level, recognizing his early impact and dedication to the sport. He chose FSU for its strong scholarship support and the opportunity to study in his field of interest while continuing his athletic career. His long-term goal is to set a school record in cross country.
Outside of running, Dominic enjoys playing soccer and credits his mother, Jane, as the most influential person in his life for her constant support and encouragement.
