Fayetteville State University Athletics

Zianne "Zi" Purdie is a sophomore member of the Fayetteville State University cheerleading program. A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Purdie brings enthusiasm, school spirit, and a strong academic focus to the Broncos cheer squad.

Purdie is pursuing a degree in Chemistry and has aspirations of building a career in the pharmaceutical industry after graduation. Her commitment to academic excellence is matched by her dedication to representing Fayetteville State as a student-athlete.

A graduate of East Forsyth High School, Purdie chose Fayetteville State because of its welcoming atmosphere, close-knit community, and small-campus environment. She appreciates the strong sense of connection among students, faculty, and athletes, which has helped make her transition to college a positive experience.

Outside of cheerleading, Purdie enjoys baking and reading, activities that allow her to express creativity and unwind from the demands of academics and athletics. She credits Shiyanne Pendergrass as her biggest athletic influence, drawing inspiration from her example and guidance.

As a member of the Broncos cheerleading team, Purdie takes pride in contributing to the energy and excitement of Fayetteville State athletics while building lifelong friendships and experiences. Her positive attitude, work ethic, and passion for both academics and athletics continue to make her a valued member of the Broncos family.
