Biography

Mya Sanders is a junior member of the Fayetteville State University cheerleading squad, known for her leadership, school spirit, and dedication to her team. A Virginia Beach native and graduate of Tallwood High School, Sanders has quickly become a standout at FSU, earning the Players Choice Award for the 2024–25 season and serving as co-captain for 2025–26.

Majoring in Criminal Justice, Sanders plans to become a crime analyst and eventually work her way up to the FBI Academy. Off the field, she enjoys crocheting and credits her parents as the most influential people in her life, guiding her to be a strong and confident woman.

Sanders chose Fayetteville State University for its welcoming atmosphere and strong sense of community. To her, FSU represents the true definition of family—a place where she found not just a team, but a home.
