Merecal Smith serves as a student athletic trainer for Fayetteville State University, contributing to the health and performance of Bronco student-athletes with professionalism and care. A native of Concord, North Carolina, Smith graduated from West Cabarrus High School in 2022 and is currently completing her senior year at FSU, majoring in Sports and Fitness Management.

With a strong passion for athlete wellness and rehabilitation, Smith plans to pursue graduate school to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Her dedication to the field and commitment to academic excellence make her a valuable part of the athletic training team.

Smith plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in supporting Bronco Athletics, helping ensure athletes stay healthy, prepared, and ready to compete.
