FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — March 15, 2026 — Fayetteville State Bowling closed out a dominant weekend and an even more dominant season Sunday, completing a perfect 48–0 CIAA regular season after sweeping all Baker matches during the final day of CIAA Event No. 3 at B&B Bowling Lanes.
The Broncos entered Sunday with a 9–0 mark through two days of traditional play and continued their flawless run by posting a 3–0 record in Baker competition, earning wins over Shaw, Livingstone and Johnson C. Smith. Fayetteville State finished Event No. 3 with a 12–0 match record, marking the program's most complete regular‑season performance under head coach Bobby Henderson.
Fayetteville State opened the Baker round with a 1,035–813 win over Shaw, powered by a 232 fifth game and a 207 average across the set. The Broncos followed with a 935–749 victory against Livingstone, then closed the weekend with their strongest performance — a 1,071–632 decision over Johnson C. Smith, posting a 214.2 average in the final match.
The 3–0 Baker sweep finalized FSU's spotless 48–0 CIAA record, spanning all league events and formats.
Senior anchor Paige Rockwell earned the event's High Average Award, finishing with a 209.6 traditional average across nine games. Rockwell led the Broncos with 1,887 total pins, highlighted by a 236 to close out Saturday's traditional block.
Freshman Hannah Cunningham claimed Newcomer High Average honors, delivering a 174.7 average behind her strongest outing of the season during Saturday's 699‑pin performance.
One of the defining moments of the entire CIAA season came on Friday, when Nicole Sarko rolled a perfect 300, the highest individual score of the event. Sarko closed traditional play with a 196.44 average for the weekend.
Senior Ericka Reed added a consistent two‑day traditional total of 1,757 pins and a 195.22 average, including four games of 200 or higher on Saturday.
Janari Aiken posted a 205.83 weekend average, fueled by strong performances of 224, 212 and 199.
Senior Lillian Mozzi added key support in both traditional and Baker formats.
Before Saturday's competition, Fayetteville State honored its four seniors as part of CIAA Senior Day ceremonies:
FSU will now turn its attention to the 2026 CIAA Bowling Championship, entering as the No. 1 seed and the conference's only undefeated team. The CIAA Championship event will be held at Bowlero Mechanicsville outside of Richmond in Mechanicsville, Va.
Fayetteville State finishes the regular season 48–0, 59-11 overall, and among the league leaders in scoring, average and team efficiency across all formats.
