FSU Appoints Dr. Rodney McCrowre as Faculty Athletics Representative

Fayetteville State University has appointed Dr. Rodney McCrowre as the Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) for the Department of Athletics.
 
"I am confident that Dr. McCrowre's leadership in his new role will significantly benefit the Department of Athletics and contribute to the overall success and development of our student-athletes," adds Director of Athletics Anthony Todd Bennett.
 
Dr. McCrowre brings a wealth of experience and dedication to Fayetteville State University. He currently serves as the Assistant Department Chair at the Broadwell College of Business and Economics, an Assistant Professor of Management, and the Director of Pre-Business. His involvement with FSU is marked by various roles, such as TRIO Programs and Early College High Schools showcasing his devotion to the university.
 
"Dr. McCrowre's academic and professional experience, combined with his dedication to student success and the university, makes him an invaluable asset to the Department of Athletics," said Provost Monica Leach.
 
Dr. McCrowre holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His dissertation, titled "Exploring the Effect of Mentoring Programs for Both Private and Public Sectors: Formal and Informal Relationships," examined the impact of mentoring in various organizational settings. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Fayetteville State University.
 
As a passionate educator, Dr. McCrowre has taught a wide range of courses at FSU including Ethics and Civic Engagement, Entrepreneurial Thinking, Financial Literacy, Leading Organizations, Strategic Management, and University Studies. His impact extends beyond the classroom as he conducts engaging and inspiring workshops and seminars for diverse organizations, which demonstrates his ability to connect with a wide range of audiences.
 
Dr. McCrowre's dedication to mentorship and community service is also evident in his extensive involvement. He serves on the board of Helping Young People Elevate (H.Y.P.E.) and is an active member of the 100 Black Men of America – Cape Fear Region and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. Additionally, he advises the Deans Student Advisory Council (DSAC), Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society, Collegiate 100, and the Epsilon Beta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, demonstrating his commitment to giving back to various organizations.
