Fayetteville, NC – FSU Women's Bowling is set to travel to Raleigh, NC for the CIAA N/S Divisional Event 3 starting Friday, Mar. 15 - Sunday, Mar. 17. The event will be hosted by Shaw University.
The Broncos are 36-9 overall and 29-3 in conference play. In their most recent competition at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Round-Up in Richmond, VA on Feb. 23-25. They finished the event 9-3.
On the first day of competition, Fayetteville State finished 3-1 with wins against Virginia State (838-560), Bowie State (722-712), and Elizabeth City State (780-540), with one loss
vs Virginia Union (733-848).
The second day of individual games was also a 3-1 record day, with the Broncos defeating Elizabeth City State (860-629), Bowie State (890-796), and Virginia State (912-460). The Broncos fell short to Virginia Union for the second time that day (805-814).
In Baker's play, FSU finished 3-1 again with wins against Elizabeth City State (790-710), Virginia Union (807-794), and Virginia State (860-421). Bowie State got the win over the Broncos in Baker's play with a score of 870-914.
Sophomore
Paige Rockwell, completed the weekend with the highest pin average of 184.75. Teammate, sophomore
Ericka Reed, had the highest score of 247 for the Southern Division. Lastly, freshman
Lillian Mozzi had the newcomer high average of 150.20.
