Fayetteville State women's bowling racked up an event-high 9,896 pins and finished 10-2 against Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division opponents in Elizabeth City, NC at the CIAA Bowling Event II. The Broncos improve to 22-2 in the conference standings and 32-5 overall.
Paige Rockwell received the Southern Division's Newcomer High Average Award with a pin average of 180.75 from 1446 pins over eight games.

Rockwell opened the three-day event by knocking down 883 pins over five games for an average of 176.6. She scored the Broncos only 200+ game on the second day with a 219 game against Livingstone. Paige bowled three games for a total of 563 pins for a 187.67 average.

FSU finished the first day 4-1 with opening victories over Shaw (787-662) and Livingstone (769-524). Fayetteville State suffered an 833-857 loss to Johnson C. Smith before closing the day with another pair of wins over SU (828-613) and LC (763-500).

The Broncos completed the second round with two wins against JCSU (867-760 and 861-782) and a victory over Livingstone (873-461) and Shaw (789-689). Fayetteville State had a 2-1 record in Baker (team) play. JCSU best the Broncos 764-732 before FSU ran the table against the LC Blue Bears (886-577) and Shaw Bears (908-627).

Denise Brown bowled eight games for a 165.75 average while
Jayda Gignac was active for six games and finished with a 168 average.

Fayetteville State will compete in the James Brown Invitational in Towson, Maryland. The tournament will be hosted by Morgan State University.
