Fayetteville, NC – Four Broncos finished in the top six positions to claim the 5^th Annual Monarch Cross Country Classic hosted by Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC.  Fayetteville State scored 28 points to lead over Francis Marion, who had 58.  The men finished the 8K race in seventh place.
 
Mercy Chemutai ran the women's 6K in a time of 26:01 for top honors with an average mile of 6:58.6.  Destiny Stevons scored three points with her fourth-place finish in 27:44.2 (7:26.3 mile). Mylasis Pratt was four seconds off the trail of Stevons with a time of 27:48.9. Pratt's average mile was a second slower (7:27.6). Sierra Beasley closed out the top-10 finishers for the Broncos when she finished seventh overall for six points.   Beasley had an average mile of 7:30.9 and a total 6K time of 28:01.5.
 
Charles Pumbu finished 11^th for the Broncos in 30:56.2 with an averaged mile of 6:13.4.  Methodist won the men's 8K with 35 points.
