The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announced the 2021 All-CIAA Preseason Women's Bowling Team and Predicted Order of Finish voted on by the CIAA Bowling Coaches Association and the Sports Information Directors Association. Three Fayetteville State Bowlers were selected to the Preseason Team while the Broncos were predicted to finish second behind Bowie State in the battle for the 2022 CIAA Bowling Championship trophy.

The 2020 CIAA Rookie of the Year
Cecilia Chafin, a native of Fayetteville, was the first named to the preseason team for the Broncos. Chafin had the second-best average in the conference at 170.50 pins per game, which led all CIAA freshmen. The All-CIAA selection had a total pin count of 3,751 and her score of 267 at the CIAA Bowling Event II was the single-best game in the conference this season.

Joining Chafin on the Preseason team are
Angel Pope (Hope Mills, NC) and
Cheyenne Stahnke (Lumberton, NC). Pope has been an All-CIAA Bowler for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. Stahnke was also a member of the 2019 All-CIAA Team.

Last season, Fayetteville State's Bobby Henderson was named the CIAA Bowling Coach of the Year for the fourth straight year after leading the Broncos to a perfect 39-0 CIAA record (24-0 in division play). FSU captured their 19
th CIAA Southern Division title last season.

Fayetteville State opens the 2021-22 season this weekend in Richmond, VA at the Virginia Union Bowling Invitational.
