Fayetteville, NC – Fayetteville State University Department of Athletics is suspending all athletic related activities until further notice.
 
The National Collegiate Athletic Association has determined that all winter and spring championships, including the NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field Championship and Atlantic Region Basketball Championship Tournament, are canceled, effective immediately. The decision is based on the evolving COVID-19 (coronavirus) public health threat, the ability to ensure the events do not contribute the spread of the pandemic, and the impracticality of hosting such events at any time during this academic year given ongoing decisions by other entities.
