Salisbury, NC – Fayetteville State had another perfect weekend of bowling; but this time, it was a 15-0 sweep over the CIAA Northern Division at the conference round-up event at the Woodleaf Lanes in Salisbury, NC.
 
Savannah Starling (Fayetteville, NC) won the Southern Division's high average award with a 179.25 score on the second day of action with 717 pins in four games. She had the Broncos third highest pin-count of 201 in its second game against Virginia State. Starling also led the Broncos on the first day of competition with a 170.4 average.  She had her highest score of a 194 pin-count in the fifth game to give herself a total count of 852 pins. Savannah finished individual match play with 1,569 pins in nine games for a 174.33 average count.
 
Brittany Worthy (Durham, NC) had the second overall average for the Broncos with a 168.56 mark from 1,517 pins in nine games. Her highest score was a 205 against Bowie State on the second day.
 
Cheyennne Stahnke (Lumberton, NC) bowled the team's highest game with a 212 against Virginia State on the first day. She finished with a two-day total of 1,151 pins in seven games and an average of 164.43.
 
Fayetteville State swept through the competition in Baker match play on the final day. The Broncos had its highest win of 1018 to 821 over Virginia State. FSU defeated Elizabeth City State 960-562 and Virginia Union 925 to 793.
 
The Broncos will compete in the HBCU Invitational hosted by Jackson State (Jackson, Mississippi) from March 6-8.
